Helena Moreira é doutorada em Psicologia pela Universidade de Coimbra. Atualmente, é Professora Auxiliar da Faculdade de Psicologia e Ciências da Educação da Universidade de Coimbra e membro integrado do Centro de Investigação em Neuropsicologia e Intervenção Cognitivo-Comportamental da Universidade de Coimbra. Tem dedicado especial atenção à aplicação das abordagens cognitivo-comportamentais de terceira geração à parentalidade, particularmente ao estudo da parentalidade mindful, em diferentes etapas do ciclo de vida (pós-parto, infância e adolescência). Neste âmbito, tem-se dedicado ao desenvolvimento e estudo de eficácia de um programa de intervenção para mães no período pós-parto (programa Mindful Moment).
Tem também particular interesse no pograma de intervenção “Protocolo Unificado para o tratamento transdiagnóstico das perturbações emocionais das crianças (UP-C)”. Neste âmbito, orienta duas teses de doutoramento que visam estudar a eficácia das versões standard e stepped-care do programa e é Investigadora Principal de um projeto de Investigação Científica e Desenvolvimento Tecnológico financiado pela Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia, que pretende desenvolver a versão blended do programa (i.e., uma versão que combina sessões presenciais e sessões online) [PTDC/PSI-GER/0689/2020].
Helena Moreira has a PhD in Psychology from the University of Coimbra and is currently Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences of the University of Coimbra and an integrated member of the Center for Research in Neuropsychology and Cognitive-Behavioral Intervention of the University of Coimbra. Her primary research interests are in the application of the third generation of cognitive behavioral approaches to parenting, particularly the study of mindful parenting, at different stages of the life cycle (postpartum, childhood and adolescence). Currently, she is working on the development and efficacy study of a mindful parenting program for mothers in the postpartum period (Mindful Moment program). She is also particularly interested in the intervention program “Unified Protocol for transdiagnostic treatment of emotional disorders in children (UP-C)”. She supervises two doctoral theses that aim to study the efficacy of the standard and stepped-care versions of the program and is Principal Investigator of a Scientific Research and Technological Development funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology that aims to develop the blended version of the program (i.e., a version that combines face-to-face sessions and online sessions) [PTDC / PSI-GER / 0689/2020].
