Cláudia Melo é doutorada em Psicologia Clínica pela Faculdade de Psicologia e de Ciências da Educação da Universidade de Coimbra (FPCE-UC), desde 2018. É investigadora no Centro de Investigação em Neuropsicologia e Intervenção Cognitivo-Comportamental (CINEICC-FPCE-UC), mais particularmente na linha de investigação “Relações, Desenvolvimento & Saúde”. Os seus principais interesses de investigação relacionam-se com a eficácia da comunicação médico-doente e a promoção de tomada de decisões clínicas de elevada qualidade. Tem também particular interesse pela área da comunicação de ciência para diferentes públicos-alvo, sendo responsável pela conceção e desenvolvimento de várias atividades do CINEICC com este objetivo.

Cláudia Melo é também Psicóloga Clínica, membro efetivo da Ordem dos Psicólogos Portugueses e especialista em Psicologia Clínica e da Saúde.


  • Cláudia Melo has a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Coimbra (FPCE-UC), since 2018. She is a researcher at the Centre for Research in Neuropsychology and Cognitive Behavioral Intervention (CINEICC-FPCE-UC), particularly at the research group “Relationships, Development & Health”. Her main research interests are related to the efficacy of doctor-patient communication and the promotion of high-quality clinical decision-making. She is also particularly interested in science communication for different target audiences, being responsible for the design and development of several CINEICC activities to accomplish this purpose.
    Cláudia Melo is also a Clinical Psychologist, being a full member of the Portuguese Psychologists Board and specialized in Clinical and Health Psychology.
